Advance Report on Forest Fires in Europe, Middle East and North Africa 2022
This report provides an overview of the fire season of 2022 in Europe, Middle East and North Africa on the basis of data in the European Forest Fire Information System (EFFIS). It preceeds the annual report for the 2022 that is published with the national contributions from the countries in the Commission Expert Group on Forest Fires, which will be published in October 2023. The report provides a preliminary assessment of the impact of wildfires and the fire danger conditions under which the fire season evolved in 2022.
